What the hell? The Reds missed the playoffs?!!!
Not much of a baseball guy, but I'll go with:
Tigers
Rangers
Phillies
Brewers
Tigers
Phillies
Phillies to win it all.

I like where your head is at Dave, but I think that Milwaukee can pull out the
WS victory.

Brewers over Rays
If this is the actual World Series, I'm pretty sure I'd be making a road trip to Milwaukee for a game. My buddy that works for the Cubs and I have been Rays fans for about 6 years now (we "adopted" them as our AL team in college), and that would be a fun time.

It is too soon for me to be in this thread. Too soon.

Re: Baseball Playoff Thread
Rangers and Tigers, then Tigers
Phillies and Brewers, then Phillies
Tigers to win it with one pitcher just like the Dodgers did with Orel and Kirk Gibson.
I'd love to see the Brewers in it, however.
Anyone but the Yankees.

If you could get down to Tampa, they'd pay you to go to the game.

I know. I have already gotten over my rookie closer blowing a 3 run lead for the Halo's that might have propelled them into the playoffs.

At least you showed your (virtual) face. Anybody heard from Ken today?
Purely from the heart, not the brain: a Phillies/Yankees World Series, and the Phillies win!

Gotta go with...
Rays & Yanks - Yanks win
Cards & Brewers - Cards win
Cards & Yanks - Cards win and Pujols gets a big, fat contract from St Louis.
No, this is not the likely outcome, but it possible.

If you like the chances of these outcome, there is money to be made: Cards sitting at 10-1.
Phillies +160
Yankess +350
Rangers +600
Tigers +700
Brewers +800
Cardinals +1000
Rays +1000
Dbacks +1200

Oh, I'm here. No big sadness for me today. I fully expected the Sox not to make it, and am actually glad they didnt - they didnt deserve to get in by someone else winning, and they couldnt do it themselves. Maybe this will wake them up to some of the issues they have - something has to.
As to predictions:
Rangers over Rays
Tigers over Yankees
Phillies over Cards
Brewers over D'Backs
Tigers over Rangers
Brewers over Phillies
Tigers over Brewers

It's generally not fashionalbe to pick the favorite. Fortunately, I don't have much fashion sense.
