Disney Weather Forecast Thread
I am tracking the forecast using both accuweather and weather channel.
Per accuweather (weather channel doesn't go far enough out yet):
Sat 1/7 - 72/47 partly cloudy
Sun 1/8 - 66/42 mostly sunny
I'm hoping for a low temp of around 50 and a high in the mid to upper 60s. If that happens, it won't get higher then 60-62 by race completion. We haven't had a real cold snap yet, so I'm not prepared for anything in the 30s (or 42, for that matter).

Updated:
Accuweather:
Sat - 68/48
Sun - 70/50
Weather Channel:
Sat - 73/54
Accuweather is always a couple of degrees cooler, don't know hwy. I hope they are closer to correct, though.

I too have been following the forecast. I'm hoping for cool temps but I guess we'll get what we get. Please keep us posted on how it is in Orlando for this next week. Thanks!

Disney starts at 6:00 AM or so I think. It seems like you may get the weather you want, good luck.

5:30 AM. Should be done by 9:30 or 10. If the high is 70 (with lows near 50), it shouldn't be much past 60 even at the finish.

Re: Disney Weather Forecast Thread
While we are now in the midst of our first cold snap of the season (lows of 35 last night and 31 tonight), it will be short lived. Continuing to trend the wrong direction:
Weather Channel:
Sat = 75/55
Sun = 76/58
Accuweather:
sat = 72/55
Sun = 75/58
Yahoo weather:
Sat = 75/55
Sun = 75/57
Would be happy enough if those lows dropped about 5 degrees for Sunday. That last 12 miler I did in humid 78 degree weather in Miami may have unintended benefits.

It's not getting any better. Mid to upper 50s for the lows (which is what it will be for the start of the races and probably the first hour plus) with mid to upper 70s for the highs (which will occur early to mid afternoon). I figure to be done by 10 AM, so I would guesstimate that it will be about 63-65 at that point. That would be just fine with me.

Oooo but nothing warmer please. I'm used to running in 0-20F these days and I never have been much of a warm weather runner. How's the humidity there these days? No, it's not that humid in the winter. At least not usually.Stephanie wrote:Oooo but nothing warmer please. If you're not used to the humidity, you'll notice it. But in the mid-50's, it keeps the chill off of you.
