My new running bumper sticker
I know people make fun of runners with bumper stickers, but I don't care.
Here is my latest - DFL>DNS.
At my fifty miler next Saturday, they actually will have a very nice engraved award for DFL.
Several of us have already claimed it.

Re: My new running bumper sticker
call me slow what's DFL?
Ps I have 26.2 on my bumper along with I rocked 13.1 on my side rear window decal on my back window. They blend in nicely on my white car. Lol

So what's it take to finish Dead Fng Last at whatever 50 miler you're running next week?
DFL has no meaning at the JFK50. Only those who finish by 7:00pm get a medal and an official finish time. That's a 12 (14) hour cutoff for those starting at the regular (early) start at 7am (5am). You can finish after the cutoff, but there's no fanfare or recognition. This hard cutoff doesn't seem to dampen the spirit or camaraderie among runners--it's laid back and cooperative the whole way.
I think the JFK50 sticker would fit nicely over your Ultra sticker.

The North Country Ultra has a 14 hour cutoff - I assume that the DFL award would go to the last person under that time limit. They let people keep moving on the course if they get to the last AS by 14 hours. If not, they get picked up and taken in to the finish for an atta-boy-beer.

Re: My new running bumper sticker
My running friends in Atlanta and i used to say that DFL was better than DFD (for which the last D was "dead"). Very cute!
