As for what kind of socks I'm not really picky as long as they are light and thin more so when I'm racing. Just not into thick socks when it comes to running.
Socks...preferably black and no show...Most of my socks are Balega...
I wear Balega too, but never saw black ones.
Me either

Re: Socks or No Socks
Pretty much use the Wright double layer sock exclusively, except occasionally going for a thinner sock for races during the worst of the heat of summer. I don't find that the shoes are comfortable without socks, but then I don't wear the minimal slipper like, seamless shoes.

Re: Socks or No Socks
Ah, the big questions:
If you forget your socks and have a treadmill or outside lunch run, do you go anyway?
If you have mismatched socks/ running shoes because you got your stuff out at 0400 dark, do you still run?
If you forget your shoes, do you run barefoot on the 'mill?
I'll let Chas speak for the forgeting your running clothes piece.

I'll blame that on the conditions in Beijing. It was the only time it happened to him.
But it is a great example of why Sell was the toughest runner out there.

Seriously. I bitch and moan about a little blister, or a hot spot. Look at those shoes!! I would have stopped long before it got to that point.

Galen Rupp would have stopped if his Breathe-Right strip came off.

So it's safe to say you have a sock fetish Michele?
Most definitely. My favorite ones are blue with black and yellow sperm that say "Survival of the Fittest" on the sole. They are actually Defeet.

I've just started running without socks in my Zoot Ultras but I primarily wear socks.

Re: Socks or No Socks
I always wear socks with running. I also dual purpose socks, I buy socks that can be worn both for running and golf. Thus low cut and I need both black and white (to color coordinate with my golf shoe color; I'm color indifferent when running but generally prefer black).

Usually, but not always. Frees and some of my flats are comfortable without socks.

I've got a drawer full - use them for my McGeyver arm warmers, just cut out finger and thumb holes - my latest pair has a peek-a-boo hole for my Garmin..
