Weather is supposed to be pretty decent on Sunday. I believe low 50s at start. High around 65...I have ran Chicago in worse.Jerry wrote:Can't believe still no weather thread. Guess I am not the only one who doesn't care/give up...

Re: Chicago Marathon Dinner
Really Nick, you ran Chicago twice? I didn't know that. Me too,2007, the hottest in The race's history, and 2010, hot less( note there is a space in between), I guess one can say at least the trend is good. I may run it next year or 2015.Nick Morris wrote:Weather is supposed to be pretty decent on Sunday. I believe low 50s at start. I will be in Boston 2015 as well.
I have a dream to run all the marathons I have done again and put sub 3 in its race results. Luckily just only a few: Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, Boston, Chicago, and New York.
Then I go back to play soccer.

Re: Chicago Marathon Dinner
Well Jerry you will have to work at it to achieve that goal. I think the easiest place to run sub 3 is Boston.Jerry wrote:Too big to fail.Schuey wrote:Without a doubt!Nick Morris wrote:I like your positive thinking...JohnP wrote:Nick will be running Boston in 2015.

Did I fail to mention I have a pipe dream additionally that I plan those races strategically to PR every time?Schuey wrote:Well Jerry you will have to work at it to achieve that goal. Here is the order:
Dallas December 2013
Boston April 2014
New York Novermber 2014
Oklahoma City April 2015
Chicago October 2015
Houston January 2016
Sounds fun, huh? Maybe I should start a different thread about Jerry's dreams.

That would be a definite challenge. You better start taking your running seriously.Jerry wrote:Did I fail to mention I have a pipe dream additionally that I plan those races strategically to PR every time?Schuey wrote:Well Jerry you will have to work at it to achieve that goal. Re: Chicago Marathon Dinner
Have fun! Since I'm home alone this weekend, I wish I had thought earlier (like several months) about flying in and watching the race. Would have been a hoot. Here's to everyone running smart!

Does this mean I have to listen to Nick talk about the Brewers all night? Or can we commiserate in our mutual hatred of the Cardinals?

When I was brought up we might discuss the wine at dinner, but not beer. Religion was absolutely taboo.
What is the world coming to?

Re: Chicago Marathon Dinner
Guys, I'm sorry, I'm gonna bail last minute. I've had a bad cold all week and I'm still spiking fevers, frequently coughing, sneezing, blowing my nose today. It just occurred to me that I should stay home so I don't give this to anyone else right before their race. It's not the kind of cold that is so bad you'd have to miss work and sleep all day, but it's bad enough that I think it could ruin a marathon.
I'm REALLY disappointed to miss dinner
I'll see you all at Howell's / Hood--after the race is done, your immune systems are on their own! Hopefully by then I'll be better anyway.
