Bayshore is on my list for 2012. Only a four hour drive from home.

SWEET! We can't wait to see you there in 2012! It's nice being only 4 hours away from there, isn't it? It's such a great place! I spent many summers up there as a kid. I'm looking forward to getting back there!

Hmm...I might run it pregnant, too, we'll see how everything goes...I wouldn't travel that far to just run a half marathon that is for sure.

Yeah when I quit posting long runs and everything goes down hill fast I don't really need to explain why. I know my running buddies will know before my family because I won't be able to keep up with them and make excuses for not showing up in the a.m.

Bummer - just rec'd the news that my niece is getting married on the same day. I guess I will have to wait until 2013.

I am so bummed. Want to be there with you guys. Maybe my niece will break up with her fiance and cancel the wedding -- ooooooooooooooooo now there's a bad thought from the uncle.

Has anyone gotten in yet? I've been trying for a hour and a half and I can't even get the registration page to open.

Online Registration is experiencing problems with high volume. Marathon Guide is working on the problem and hopefully they will be able to correct it very soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please be patient.

Join us for the 30th Annual Traverse City Track Club Bayshore Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K to be held on Saturday May 26, 2012. We will once again limit the number of entries in all three races and we expect to fill very early. Last year we filled the Half Marathon in 30 hours, the Marathon in less than a week and the 10K in April. If previous years are any indication we will most likely fill even earlier for 2012. Once we fill a race we will not reopen registration. We do not have waiting lists for any of our races. We would like to be able to accept anyone who would like to run the Bayshore but our course will not handle any more runners.

Just tried registering at lunch. It's stinkin' closed already! Tried for a half hour this morning.

I tried to get a comp'd entry last week but haven't heard back yet. Guess that's my only hope of getting in. Might end up running Sunburst instead...

Anyone get in?

Well good thing I did it this morning when my wife asked me to do it. I did it around 10am(cat) this morning.

And yes the website was moving really slow, I guess we were lucky to get in this morning.

Ok I made it in for the full marathon. This will be my first BQ attempt. Can't wait.

That's unreal about the half closing so soon.

I just now saw this thread! I registered for Bayshore this morning because I decided I needed a month extra to start training (I was going to do the full at Illinois originally). I love Traverse City!!!
