Bayshore
Ok, ok, so this is a ways off...registration opens in December, 2011 and the race is in May, 2012. But...I wanted to plant the seed of running it in peoples' minds. Who would consider running Bayshore next year?
Me and Martin are in!

Oh, now you want to go!
Although, I think I was registered the last time you went up there to run but missed it.

It could happen! I walk-ran a marathon at 30 weeks and it was OK aside from some really sharp round ligament pain at one point. I only ran one marathon pregnant with J. and it was at 4 weeks so I didn't even know it yet. I guess every baby is different, though, so maybe it would work out. If I don't do it next year it is on my Michigan list so I'll get to it eventually. so I needed some emoticon , right?

Re: Bayshore
I had actually looked into running this one. I'm wondering though with a late May start will there be enough time to recover and then gear up again for a fall marathon?

Hmmm. A return to my first BQ. Might be just what the doctor ordered.

Hmmm...I say I like what the doctor has ordered! I think it would be a great return to first BQ, it's a pretty flat course. Do it! Do it!!

I think it is due able Alex. Even thought Matt and I didn't race we both did it after Boston and we both ran Chicago. Now I raced Chicago and if my memory is right Matt didn't. The point is depending on what fall marathon you are going to do you could either race Bayshore and a Fall or do Bayshore as a good long training run for a fall marathon. It really is a fun time.

Re: Bayshore
Sure, why not? With all the beer drinkers here, we could just make it a big party! I think I've decided to run the Indy Mini for the first time, in 2012. So now I might might be running two HM's next May...

Oooh. Is this the blast from the past picture thread?
Your memory is correct. I've never really raced in Chicago. I really need to fix that.
I think that it provides plenty of time to recover and gear up for a fall marathon.

Re: Bayshore
I'm definately going to run this now. This will be my first attempt at a BQ as I will have hit the new age group.

Re: Bayshore
Woohoo! Looks like we may have a good crowd at Bayshore!! It's a great course and the time up there is so much fun. We even head off to the North Peak Brewery afterward if everyone is up for it! That's where we were last year.

Chas and Matt - love the pics! Good God, was my hair blond.

Sweet, I think you should do it Dave! That way we can drink lots of beer when it is over.
Scott C wrote:Hmmm. A return to my first BQ. Might be just what the doctor ordered.
Yes, could that mean if Scott runs the Philly 1/2, Boston and Bayshore that would mean a lot of beer drinking to together over the next year! Now that is differently what the doctor ordered Scott!
Alex Kubacki wrote:I'm definately going to run this now. This will be my first attempt at a BQ as I will have hit the new age group.
Yeah I think this would be a great race for you to go for the BQ Alex. Great course to do it on.
