BTW, I just checked the site and the marathon is still open and isn't showing full. They do tend to fill quickly though I am told.

Yay! And I had no idea when I signed up! One of my co-workers even asked me if I knew anyone running it and I said "probably not, although I could see a few people from a forum I read maybe being there" LOL!

I just registered at the Holiday Inn. For anyone wanting a bit cheaper, the Quality Inn was listed at at $129/night when I checked yesterday and is also pet friendly if anyone needs that (HI is $199). But it is not quite as convenient as the HI (still pretty close though). I stayed there a few years ago and was fine with it. My husband wanted HI mainly because if I can walk to the start, he can sleep in (he is a non-runner) .

FYI: Hotels will book fast there too

I'm confirmed but for some reason Toni's registration debit got credited immediately and no confirmation. I'm assuming some sort of website safety valve for not charging the same credit card twice when the site is slow and people are frantically submitting multiple times. Even though the registration is under her name I used my card and clicked register another runner. I'm not doing anthing until Monday when I can talk to a live person. The 10K apparently doesn't fill that fast anyway. As for riding along, we'll let you know as we get closer since we are thinking about making it a family camping/biking excursion also, not sure yet. Nice car, I definitely want to ride in that limo.
